Broken for You Broken & Restored Match

The gospel lesson for the classic effect presents the wonderful truth that NOW is the time of God’s favor, NOW is the day of salvation!

Note: This effect is included in the “He Rose For You” Easter Lesson!

Your volunteer watches you wrap a wooden match inside a handkerchief. Your volunteer then breaks that wooden match in half. Unfolding the handkerchief reveals that the match is restored!

Main points in the lesson include:
-Christ’s death and resurrection is the cornerstone teaching of our salvation and forgiveness of sin.
-Christ’s death and resurrection is for more than just eternal life. It is also for your present life.
-Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
-Whatever is broken in our lives can be healed and restored according to the promises of God because we are in Christ.
-Christ was broken for us so that we may be restored.

You will need wooden matches and a handkerchief!
