Here is what happens:
- You open a small packet of loose colorful buttons
- You slide the buttons around, arranging them into a single row
- Your volunteer (or group) picks a button
- You share the meanings of each button
- You fold the corners up to form a small bag
- You shake the buttons, open the bag to drop the buttons onto the table
- The chosen button is missing
- Upon investigation, the button is found to be permanently affixed to the black felt
