Hearing, Knowing, and Responding to the Voice of God!

God is speaking, but are your children listening? There are several reasons why children may not be hearing, listening to, or responding to the voice of God. The first and foremost usually lies in their sense of self-worth. Many children are consistently belittled and develop a low self-esteem. It is no coincidence that the enemy of their soul uses this tactic. Another cause stems from a lack of understanding of who they really are and who God has created them to be. We are created in God's image, as another speaking spirit. The real you is the one who is fully alive inside the temporary home of flesh; you are an eternal spirit. We must lead our children into an intimate relationship with their Heavenly Father. The more they know Him, His Word, and His actions, the more quickly they will recognize and respond to His voice.

How do you intertwine the natural and supernatural worlds together in life? It is important that we share and teach our children spiritual truths to help them grow in the Lord. Too often we discover that, though our children know all the details of faith in God through Jesus Christ, they still separate the natural (physical) and supernatural (spiritual) throughout every day life. This is not how God desires us to live. God's greatest desire is for our faith to be continually active in our lives every day and at every moment. God is always speaking, but we often fall short of hearing.
