Christ Conquered Death – Gospel Magic Object Lesson

This is a wonderfully easy Gospel Magic Object Lesson to present which visually illustrates that Christ conquered death by rising from the dead.

Here is What Happens!

You show the back of three fanned cards to each have a picture of a sealed tomb. Turning the fanned cards around, you show that the other sides of the cards contain pictures of a cross. The two outer cards each have a black cross; the center card has a red cross. Turn one card around to show the tomb and place it in front of the other two cards. As you approach the end of your lesson, you turn the tomb card back around again to show that the two black crosses have remained the same; however, the center red cross has changed into a picture of Christ!

This kids’ worship service, “Time to Tell Your Story,” focuses upon Isaiah 61 in presenting the marvelous truth of how God’s great anointing works through people by using the stories of Moses, Nehemiah, and Joseph. Still, the most exciting part of this teaching comes with the fourth story. The last portion of Isaiah 61 is a very personal message of how God’s anointing is working through us!

This kid-interactive service creatively illustrates the choices of key people from the Christmas story in God’s plan of salvation, culminating in a strong salvation emphasis of the choice that is now theirs to personally meet Jesus as their Savior, because, as the angels’ announced, “He is a Savior born to you!”

Still, when you ask “What Do You Like About Christmas,” you will hear all sorts of answers. No matter what the response, you can always find a way to use their response to point them back to the greatest reason to like Christmas…

Here’s what happens when you use this “What Do You Like About Christmas” Gospel Magic Lesson. Select up to four volunteers to secretly pick a picture from a set of cards that indicates what they like about Christmas. Then, go back through the cards and reveal each of your volunteers’ secret choice! How did you know each volunteer’s choice? Well, that is the secret to this wonderfully easy-to-do Gospel Magic Object Lesson!

You will use each of your volunteers’ choice to help teach the lesson and then bring it all together in presenting the greatest reason to like Christmas!
